Astronomy's Future Leaders: A Discussion with AAS President-Elect David Helfand

This lunch-time discussion offers early career astronomers an opportunity to share their ideas, thoughts, and concerns with David Helfand, who will take office as AAS President in 2012. David would like to hear what the leaders of the new generation believe their Society should be doing. All conference participants are welcome to attend, but we invite only scientists at the post-doc or early faculty stage of their careers to ask questions and make comments. If time permits, we'll open the floor to senior participants at the end of the lunch session and we encourage conversation about Astronomy's future throughout the meeting.
