| Galaxy formation and evolution can be explored through the gas in galaxy halos. I will discuss the cold and diffuse gas in galaxy halos by comparing halo cloud data to recent galaxy formation simulations, and investigating the interaction between the two gaseous components. Insight into the origin of this gas and its impact on continuing star formation in galaxies can subsequently be derived. |
