“The Effects of Primordial Mass Segregation on the Evolution of Globular Clusters”

In my talk, I will discuss observational evidence for primordial mass segregation in star clusters and show how the dynamical evolution of star clusters starting with primordial mass segregation differs from that of non-mass segregated clusters. In particular, I will follow the evolutionof the stellar mass function and discuss what present-day observations can tell us about the initial mass function of globular clusters and its possible variation.
